The objective of the Sub-Fund is to achieve long-term capital appreciation by investing principally in a portfolio of fixed and floating rate Sharia-compliant securities (including non-investment grade securities), including Sukuk. Sukuk are Islamic fixed income securities that comply with Sharia and where the holder owns an undivided exposure over an underlying asset. The Sub-Fund may also invest up to 100% of its net assets in liquid assets including Murabaha. Murabaha are Sharia-compliant securities where a party buys an asset and then agrees upon a sale price with a prospective buyer that can be paid on a deferred basis.
